Handstands + Stretch
Handstands + Stretch
Handstands and stretch class is a 60 min session with the focus to get you strong and mobile for handstands
Suitable for beginners to advanced levels, the program is broken into 2 programs Session A + Session B that alternate for 6 weeks
6 weeks block have proven to be the sweet spot for our members to make maximum progress without getting bored
Check out some of the programming goals and outcomes below:
Mobility:
- Middle splits, front splits, pancake, partnering work, hip rotation, hip flexors.
- Shoulders flexion, extension, rotation, thoracic spine
Strength:
- Shoulder strength, scapular strength, core strength, handstand conditioning + endurance
Skills:
- Handstand entry (kick up, press, jump to HS), handstand position, toe/heel pulls, chest to wall, split, tuck, diamond, straddle shapes, partner balance, head position 1,2,3, flags, one arm progressions.
Qualities:
- Awareness, balance, confidence, playfulness, creativity, strength, patience, freedom.
Simply complete your fundamental session and then get started with classes.
We have drop in sessions available or you can become a Movement Collective member and gain access to all classes on the timetable.

How do I get started?
How long does it take to see results?
Results take time, but if you’re consistent, they will come. If you are a beginner, results will come fairly quickly even in the first week. But its important to remember that good things take time.
Do I get the chance to meet new friends?
Yes. Our Community is thriving with Fun workouts each day, open gym play sessions and activities organised outside the gym. Many incredible relationships have been cultivated from TMC
What sets you apart from other gyms?
We are in it with you, every owner and teacher at TMC is also practicing movement, we have dedicated many years to this craft and are so excited to share our knowledge with you.
How often do you recommend coming to workout classes?
To be honest I love to move everyday! But a good goal is 3-5 sessions per week. It may take a while for your body to get used to training at that intensity, so listen to your body and know you will need recovery time between training days. Reach out if you need support

Do you provide free refreshments there?
We have filtered water available to our members. Other snacks and drinks are available for purchase.
Do I have to be fit to join?
What payment methods do you accept?
We take all major credit cards and debit cards. We do not accept personal checks.
What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?
It really depends on the class you come to currently we have Elements, Over 50's, Movement , Rhythm and Flow and Handstands and Stretch. Check out the class descriptions for a full outline of what you will get in our classes and 6 week programming blocks.
Do I have to stop eating my favorite foods to be healthy?
No! The healthier you are, the healthier you tend to want to eat. You get hooked on feeling good, and junk food just isn’t worth it. By avoiding excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates and measuring your intake of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, you will see dramatic, measurable increases in health. We have some TMC nutrition program/guidelines if you would like help with this when you become a member.
