the missing part
Are you having fun?
This week I got back into my one arm handstand training, my first session back was really hard, I have a lot of work to do before I'll be able to hold a OAHS free standing.
At the end of my HS sessions I always leave a bit of time to play with some free standing OAHS variations and shapes. I really love this part of my training, it's not programmed, it doesn’t even feel like training, it's just about playing, trying the next progression and having fun.
For skill development I really recommend you have both work and play in your practice. We need the work to build strength and mobility, this can feel like a bit of a grind sometimes but its hard to make progress without it, and the play gives us time to experiment and have a bit of fun.
The amount of play you need in your practice will be very dependent on your personality and play can look very different from one person to another. Rod and I briefly discuss this in our most recent podcast. Listen Here!
If you feel like you need some more fun in your movement practice, our classes at tmc have the perfect balance of work and fun. Book a discovery session to find out more. Book Here!
